Operating under new guidelines
To our lovely customers,
In light of the new Government Covid protection framework (the traffic light system) to be implemented from Friday 3 December, we want to update you on how this will affect our businesses, and you as our customers.
With the new restrictions, Don Luciano can only continue to operate as we currently know it, if all visitors have a vaccine pass. This has been a difficult decision for us, as we pride ourselves on being inclusive and respectful when it comes to people’s choice to be vaccinated. But in recent times all hospitality businesses, including ours, have felt the strain of COVID-19. We have also been reminded throughout, of the loss of 2 of our own family members during the course of this past year.
For us to get back to any sort of normality, the decision to operate Don Luciano with a vaccine pass feels like the right one for us. All our staff are fully vaccinated, so this will protect the health of our customers and staff alike.
So, from this Friday 3rd December, Don Luciano will require that all guests be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and will require proof of vaccination on your visit.
Gracias to Go in Carterton, our takeaway/contactless business will remain open for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. All orders will need to be called or text-in to 022 370 7838. You can also pick up Gracias coffee for home from Gracias to Go, if you’re unable to visit Don Luciano. We are really happy we can still offer all our customers this service.
Thank you for your continued support. This is new to us too and will take a few days for our team to get used to operations, so please stay patient and kind.
